What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made of titanium, which is inserted into the jaw bone to support a crown, bridge or denture. The great success of the implant lies in the fact that it is embedded in the jaw bone to such an extent that its removal becomes virtually impossible.Applications
- Replacement of a tooth without the destruction of adjacent teeth, which is caused during construction of a bridge.
- Support of a bridge using 2 or more implants rendering partial denture unnecessary.
- Strengthen the support of a denture that, without the use of implants, would be impossible to stand.
Guided Implant Surgery
State of the art technology enables us to apply Guided Implant Surgery. The treatment plan and implant placement is done through a special 3D computer program, giving the surgeon Periodontologist more accuracy. After the Dental Scan is processed, a special surgical splint is made to place the implants in the jaw at the sites we have previously designed on the computer.Visit Periodontologist Nikolaos Delendas,
